Mission & Purpose
Music is an inexhaustible field of inquiry, and a true artist must remain a lifelong learner. I chose the name “The Piano Lab” because I envision this studio as more than a private teaching space; it is a dynamic environment where both the teacher and the student engage in a collaborative journey of discovery. My 20-plus years of pedagogical experience have taught me that every challenge a student faces is a research opportunity, and finding those solutions is the very foundation of this Lab.

At The Piano Lab, we prioritize substantial musical growth over external examinations. Rather than following a single rigid method, I curate a diverse range of high-quality materials to provide a balanced and engaging foundation.
To ensure a deep understanding of musical structure, I design custom theory supplements tailored to each student’s specific needs. By combining these personalized resources with the rich heritage of classical etudes (such as Czerny, Burgmüller, and Clementi), we offer a rigorous yet flexible education focused entirely on the student’s unique musical journey.
